# PDF

To display a PDF file, you have two options:

- **Embed the PDF file within a screen**: this file is accessible without an internet connection (offline)
- **Use the URL of a PDF file** (for example, from Google Drive): in this case, an internet connection will be required to display this content.

> The PDF file is displayed using the PDF reader of each platform (iOS, web,
> Android, Windows). There may be minor display differences related to these PDF
> readers.

## 1. Insert the PDF file (offline)

If you import the PDF file, it will be available offline.

To insert the PDF file:

- Before its import into PandaSuite Studio, you must compress this file into ZIP format.
- Import the ZIP file into the **Files** window.
- Insert [a Web component](https://docs.pandasuite.com/essentials/components/web/) in your screen: place it where you want to display the PDF file.
- In the **Properties** of the component, click on **Offline** and select the .zip file.
- In the **File** field, enter the name of the PDF file that was compressed (example .pdf).
- Double-click on the component to preview the PDF document.

## 2. Use the URL of a PDF (online)

For this option, the PDF file must be hosted and have a public URL. You can host it on Google Drive, for example.

To insert the URL of the PDF:

- Insert [a Web component](https://docs.pandasuite.com/essentials/components/web/) in your screen: place it where you want to display the PDF file.
- In the **Properties** of the component, click on **Online.**
- In the **URL** field, enter the URL.
- Double-click on the component to preview the PDF document.
